CCPA Lawsuit

GEICO has recently filed lawsuits against Chiropractic offices that are using LMTs as Chiropractic Assistants to provide therapy services for PIP patients. Under the PIP guidelines, offices cannot receive reimbursement for any therapy services provided to a PIP patient by an LMT. The courts have ruled in GEICO’s favor.

To avoid further litigation and to ensure your office is in compliance, Chiropractic organizations and lawyers are strongly urging Chiropractic offices to get their staff licensed as CCPAs. Each Chiropractor is allowed to have 10 CCPAs working for them.
